Prime quality saleable at 2s 9d to 3s; medium, 2s 4d to 2s 8d ; fowls’ wheat, good whole grain, 2s 3d to 2s 4d; medium, Is lid to 2s Id, Barley—Chevalier, 3s 9d to 4s 3d ; Cape, 2s 9d to 3s, for malting qualities, Oats —Very good enquiry and easily placed. Good milling, Sa to 2s Id; prime short feed, 2s to 2s Oid; long tartftrians for seed, bright, 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Hqps—ls f.0.b,, Nelson. Potatoes—Good derwents, Q2a 6d to 65s (wanted, supplies short during the week.) Kidneys fit for seed, £5 to £6. Pigs have inquiry, 4Jd for suitable sizes and quality. Bacon, Gid; hams, 9d. Chaff has demand, prime, 45s to 60s—--52s 6d for extra good quality; good, 40s to 42s 6d, Salt Butter—Demand quiet, packages extra ; prime quality only wanted. Cheese fn hotter demand, Akaroa (large), 4}d to 4M; factory, 4id to sd. Honey—Extracted, 561 b tins, 4£d ; other sorts from 3id to 4|d. Grass Seeds —Ryegrass, 2s to 2.8 fid; machined up to 3s 3d; efid pasture to 3s 9d ; cocksfoot, 2|d to 4d. Melbourne onions, £B, none in the market; Canterbury, £G 10s. Roller Hour, £7 10s to £8; stone, £6 5s to £0 10s ; 50’s, 10s more. Bran, £2 10s to £2lss, Pollard, £3 10s. Sheepskins—Very spirited competition prevailed at the auction gales on Tuesday, wlieq full prluGs were secured for all the lots brought forward, late rates being fully maintained. Best green crossbred skins fetch 4s 3d to 4s Gd ; choice, 4s 9d ; medium to good, 3s fid to 4s; do dp merino, Is lid to 3s Gd; hogget skins, 3s 3d to 4s 3d; country dry crossbreds, inferior to medium, Is 9d to 3s 9d ; do du merino, Is 7d to 2s 8d ; full-wooUed Crossbreds —good, 3s lOd to 4o iOd ; best, 5s 3d to Gs 3d ; do do merino—good, 2s 9d to 3s 9d ; best, 3s lOd to 5s Id; dry pelts, 3d to Is Gd each.
