Sydney, June 26. The labor difficulty at Mort’s Dock haa been amicably settled. The men voluntarily offered to accept a 5 per cert, reduction in wages, and concessions in regard to overtime, and the masters have accepted these terms. June 27.
There is no fresh deyelopjnent of the maritime difficulty here or in Melbourne, Brisbane, June 27. Instead of reducing wages, the tramway authorities have decided to pay the men by results. Bather than accept this system the men have decided to go out. Wellington, June 27. At a meeting of the unemployed today, it was stated that the Labor Bureau had despatched an officer to see how many men eould be put on the railway extension at Ebatahuna, and it was thought that work would be found tliere for about lUO, White said that he intended to interview the men in charge of the Charitable Aid Department, and suggest that something in the way of soup kitchens be started here. The unemployed will hold no more meetings here for the present.
