A Mexican girl, Jesusa Lopez, daughter of a prominent merchant, doing business in the city of Mexico, left home recently for Lafayette, Louisana, where she was to enter a convent as a nun. The laws of Mexico prohibit nunneries and the taking of the veil. Miss Lopez was therefore arrested en route by the police and brought back to Mexico.
