A Bankrupt Butcher. Sydney Palmer, of Jnvercargill, butcher, hasiilei with liabilities of £-1576, of about equal amounts secured and unsecured. His statement showed a deficiency of £IOOO odd. He attributed his position to the purchase of a beast which proved cancerous. He lost £IOOO by that, although the business recovered, and another £IOOO by an exodus of customers to Australia without paying their debts.
