PRESBYTERIAN BAND OF HOPE.
The regular meeting of the above was held 011 Thursday evening in the church, when there was a very large attendance of children and friends. The Rev. J. Dickson presided and gave a brief address upon the evils, of intemperance. The following programme was gone through in very efficient manner, the majority of the items being loudly applauded . —Recitation, “ Come Children,” Miss Annie Nicholas; Glee, “Never he drunkards,” Band of Hope girls; Recitation, “Leave the liquor alone,” Master T. Monohan ; Recitation, “ Five Steps,” Master W. Duncau ; Glee, “ Sleeping on guard,” Members of Band of Hope ; Dialogue, “ Ten Band of Hope boys,” by Ten Band of Hopers; Recitation, “Don’t stand on the track,” Miss Mina Lyon ; Song, “ Keep the helm steady,” Miss Eva Goodey; Recitation, “ Boys wanted,” Master D. Ardell; Dialogue, “ Influence,” Members of Band of Hope ; Glee, “ What do all the birds say,” Little girls ; Recitation, “ Whose hat will you buy,” Miss J. Fenton ; Song, “ Oh, the sunlight,” Miss May Goodey ; Recitation, “Jenny Wren,” Master A. Martin ; Dialogue, “ The sick doll,” Band of Hopers ; Recitation, “Put down the brakes,” Miss 10. Streeter; Recitation, “ No more whiskey,” Master A. Monohan ; Duet, “ What will yon do with Jesus,” viissoy Taylor and Smith; Recitation, • Minnie is sure to know,” Miss A. Jack ,-,on ; Recitation, “ Boys’ rights,” Master B. Metson ; Glee, “Brave soldiers,” Mombeia of Band of Hope ; Dialogue. “ Twenty reasons for Total Abstinence,” By, Ten members of the Band of Hope.
