TO THE EIUTOK. Sik, —I observe that the Premier is against the Russian Jews coming here to settle. I contend that they me not paupers, as described, but men called from the North Country by God, t that they may not be partakers of her sins. Take care that New Zealand and Australia d.not share the same fate as Russia with plagues and pestilence. I suppose you know what will become of the nations that rise against them. It appears that you will have to go and serve with the Jews, and what if you should be rejected ! The Labour Council and the G overument cry against monopoly but let them pull the beam out of their eye, then they can see that they are trying to monoplise the southern hemesphere with a few. The country will keep twenty to one that there are in it. The Labour Council and Government resemble a dog with a bit of meat twenty times as much as he can eat; yet he will fight if he sees another wanting to partake of it. This is brotherly love. A country with plenty, and to spare: yet the people would rather see others starve than allow them to come here. Throefourths of the present population wore only assisted immigrants that have worked themselves up, then, why connot others do the same, which would bring common wealth to the country. My advice is give the Jews a free port, irrespective of number, that we may not be partakers of Russia’s sins and covetousness.—l am, etc., Live and let Live.
