Vice-Regal Parties. There was beautiful weather on Tuesday for the official reception of the Governor at Westport. At 11 o'clock an address of welcome was presented, and His Excellency made a suitable reply. The party afterwards left for Denniston— Lord and Lady Hopctoun, Lord Xorthesk, Mr Ralston, and the viceregal party from Victoria, arrived at Christchurch station on Tuesday evening by the 7 o'clock train from Ashburton. They were met by the Mayor End Mrs George, who introduced them to Mr A. E. G-. Rhodes, the Hon. W. C. Walker, Colonel Gordon and many leading citizens, and officially welcomed His Excellency to Christchurch.
