At the monthly meeting of the Tailoresses’ Union to-night a motion was adopted calling upon the Government and Legislature to pass into law at an early stage of next session a Conciliation Bill, providing for the enforcing of awards, so that working women, when oppressed in the manner recently brought to light at Auckland, might have legal means of redress. Miss Morrison, the Secretary, was heartily thanked for the conduct of her mission to Auckland.
