London, Jan. 24. Ninety thousand Welsh miners threaten to strike, owing to a reduction of wages. New York, Jan. 23. Dempsey, a labor leader, has been found guilty of complicity in the poisoning of free labourers at Carnegie’s Homestead works.

Trouble is threatening at Gretna colliery. The directors in England- are dissatisfied because no dividend has been paid, and desire the mine to be worked by free labour.
In connection with the strike at a local boot factory, Porter, secretary of the Bootmaker’s Union, and three pickets named Morter, Brain, and Hodges, have been arrested on a charge of conspiracy and intimidation. Further arrests are contemplated.
