; The above Committee met on Tuesday , evening. Present Mesers W. H. ; Walton (chairman), C. E. Sherratt, Gore, , L. Newport, Boughton, and T. Bowkett. THE PRIZE PUND. The chairman mentioned that £lO had ; been collected for the prize fund, and their expenditure in books, etc., came to , £B, leaving a credit balance in hand. , It was carried “ That the best thanks [ of the committee be recorded to Mr . Rhodes for his donation towards the prize ' fund.” i RESIGNATION. L Mr G. H. Patrick forwarded his re- , signation as a member of the Committee, , having business which prevented him [ from attending the Committee meetings. r It was resolved to accept Mr Patrick's 5 resignation with regret, and Mr J. J. ' McCaskey was appointed in his stead. THE SCHOOL GROUND. I The chairma i said that he had made , arrangements with the janitor for cutting r the grass on the school ground.—The . janitor to have the grass on condition L that he cuts the gorse inside the fences. ; It was agreed that the chairman’s action l in this matter be approved. J PUPIL TEACHER. A vacancy occurring on the teaching staff through Mr R. Stonehouse leaving - it was decided to call for applications for j a first year pupil teacher. inspectors’ report. The Inspector’s report on the school j examination was examined and considered very satisfactory. The following } is the report:— I. This boy passed creditably in the work of Standard VI. Class B.—Miss Pearson has conducted" her large classes in the infant room with considerable success. The school has passed a good examination. The order, attention, and manners are very good. Jas. Gibson Qow, M.A., Inspector. ’ VTSTORS. The visitors reported everything satisfactory at the school, except that the school windows required cleaning. It was resolved to call the janitor’s attention to this matter. VOTE OF THANKS. A vote of thanks was passed by the Committee to Mrs Dunlop and Miss Pryde for their kindness in judging the sewing for the prizes. The meeting then terminated.
