DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS.

At the Burnside Market on Wednesday the following business was transacted:—

Fat Cattle.—24l head yarded. Only a very few heavy weights but nearly all entered were prime quality. There was a fair demand, but prices were a shade lower than last week's. Best bullocks sold at £8 2s Co to £9 ; medium £5 10s to £7 108; light, £4 5s to £5 ss; cows and heifers, £8 10s to £0 15s. Fat Sheep.—Only 1740 penned, which number included 000 merinos. .All were shorn except a few pens. Shorn wethers sold at 13a to 10s ; shorn ewes, 10s Od to 14s \ oroHsbred ewes (in wool), 12s to I4b Od; merino wethers (in wool), Ha Od to 13s (id ; shorn merino wethers, 7s Gd to 10s 3d.

Fat Lambs.—There was a fair demand, but prices were rather easier than last week. A few extra heavy sold at 13s Od; good, 10a Gd to 12s 3d ; medium, 8s Gd to % 9d ; small, 7s Gd to 8s 3d. Pigs.—o 4 penned, there w T a,s a brisk sale for suckers and porkers, but the weather being too warm for curing baconers met with a dull sale. ' Suckers sold at 12s Gd to 15s, porkers 20s to 30k, baconers 'M& to 38s.
