PORT OF TIMAEU. ARRIVED. November 24—Hauroto, s.s., 2000 tons, Neville, from Newcastle via Lyttelton. November 25—Herald, s.s., 376 tons, Jones, from Dunedin. SAILED. November 24—Hauroto, s.s., 2000 tons, Neville, for Dunedin. Auckland, November 25. Arrived—Mamari, from London via Hobart,with 3000 tons of cargo for Auckland and 2000 tons for Wellington. On October 30th the cook’s assistant died of consumption. On the 28th a heavy gale was encountered and heavy seas washed moveables overboard and did considerable damage. The steamer passed through a large number of icebergs in latitude 52 South, and the weather was intensely cold. Sailed—Maori King, s.s., for Wellington. Sydney, November 24. Arrived Talune from Wellington (yesterday) ; Taieri from Auckland. Melbourne, November 23. Sailed yesterday Te Anau for the Bluff. Hobart, November 24. The s.s. Kaikoura, from London via the Cape, arrived this morning. She leaves again for Wellington at 4 o’clock this afternoon. The Kaikoura has 33 passengers for Australian ports, and 165 for New Zealand, including the Earl of Burford, Lieutenant-Colonel Chalmers, the Hon. Major and Lady Foley, and the Rev. Thomas Spurgeon and Mrs Spurgeon. London, November 22. Arrived (at New York) Crescent, barque, from Auckland (July 25) ; Doon, from Lyttelton, at London (Aug. 18).
