SYDNEY INFANTCIDE CASE,
Sydney, Nov. 16. There was a painful scene in the Coroner’s Court to-day during the inquest upon the baby-farming cases. Clarice Makin, a girl of 17 years, was examined, and declared that she was unable to identify the clothing. During her evidence the three female prisoners sobbed hysterically, and as Mrs Makin was coming into court after lunch, she cried out “ May the curse of the Almighty fall upon that child,” indicating witness. The female prisoners had to leave the court owing to their hysterical condition. Clarice then said that she would tell the whole truth, and identified the clothing.
