November 11—Herald, s.a., 376 tons, Jones, for northern ports. November 12—Omapere, s.s., 352 tons, Phillips, for the north. IMPORTS. In the Herald, N.M. and A. Co, agents: 10 tons sundries. Among the consignees were : Reid & Gray, N.Z.L. & M.A. Co., Brown, Radcliffe, Grant, O.F.A. In the Omapere, N.M. and A. Co., agents : 45 tons sundries. Among the consignees were : Reid & Gray, C.F.A., Pearpoint, Owers, Brown, Priest & Holdgate, Turner, Radcliffe, Hayhurst & Co., N.M. & A. Co. Port Chalmers, November 14. At the Heads—Auckland, ship, from Port Sharpness. Hob art, November 11. The Tainui, from London, via the Cape, arrived at 5 a.m. to-day, and sailed at two o'clock this afternoon for Wellington. She has 72 passengers for Australian ports and 106 for New Zealand. Sydney, November 13. Arrived—Manapouri, ftom Auckland. Strong gales have been experienced all along the coast. A heavy sea struck the Manapouri, and George Nicholas, a lamptrimmer, was washed overboard and drowned.
