THE SYDNEY MURDERS.

Sydney, Nov. 11. Two more bodies of infants were found in the yard of a third residence occupied by the Makine family. Nov. 12.

The inquests on four children whose bodies have been disinterred resulted in an open verdict, there being no evience to criminally connect the Makines with their death. The police, however, are believed to have stronger evidence in some of the later cases. Nov. 18. The bodies of two more children, whom the Mackines are suspected of having murdered have been discovered, When the occupants moved into the premises after the Mackines had vacated them, a piece of cloth bearing bloodstains was found along with a number of bonnet pins. The discovery goes in the direction of confirming the theory advanced that the unfortunate infants were deprived of life by puncturing the heart with a thin sharp instrument, or driving some instrument into the spinal cord. One of the bodies previously found bore indications of a puncture on the breast, though the remains were too decomposed ta enable it to be definitely ascertained whether the wound was inflicted before or after death. The floor of another residence formerly occupied by the prisoners is being taken up by the police. The present tenants, who succeeded the Mackines, detected a great stench, and it is known that the flooring was < removed and replaced while the premises were in the occupation of the late tenants. The digging operations of the police create intense interest. A strong chain of evidence obtained by the police proves without the slightest possibility of doubt that the children Were cruelly murdered.
