Herr Johannes Long, Mayor of Oberammergau, has sent the following proclamation to Chicago, where it was published on August 29th : —" I hereby declare that the report published in (several papers, according to which the people of Oberammergau, or part of them, have resolved to go to Chicago in order to produce the Passion Play there, is entirely false."
