London, July 28. Mr Carnegie has been interviewed upon the subject of the strike among his men, but declined to express any opinion. He had not worked the business for three years, having confidence in his managers. New Yokk. July 2b. The attempt made to destroy Carnegie's mills by means of a gas explosion was frustrated. Had the explosion been successfully carried out the lives of 1-10 workmen would have been endangered. The men on strike declare that pretended freemen will be sent to the mills to place explosives for the destruction of the works unless the unionists are re-engaged. July MO. The Courts of Idaho have decided that the Miners' Cnion have been fjuiltv of conspiracy and the rioters will be charged with conspiracy in addition to murder. .Sviixey, -July 2'J. The Broken J.l 111 miners are reported to have two months' supplies of provisions, and further assistance is on the way. j'.:;isi;axe, July 00.
