ENGLISH AND FOREIGN MARKETS.
London. July 10. Bidding at the wool sales continues spirited. The present series close on Thursday. The total catalogued to date is 947,006 bales, of which 318,400 have been sold. New Zealand rabbit skins, medium to fair, lOd; fair to good, Is 3|d. July 12. Wool prices are firmer, and for allsorts of good wool there is much competition. A cargo of Victorian wheat sold at 32s 6d, and a cargo of Adelaide at 32s 9d. Mr E. B. Iloare, M.P., presiding at a meeting of the National Bank of New Zealand, said that there was a steady increase in deposits in the colony, and the profits for the year were £64,000, The position of the
bank was sound. Messrs J. Rattray, of Dunedin, and W. J. Steele, of Blackheath, were re-elected directors. Foochow, July 10. The tea market opened very strongly. The stocks are small, consisting of 100,000 original half chests. Low priced and good to common teas are very scarce.
