REVENUE RETURNS.
Brisbane, July 4. The revenue returns for the year show an increase of £123,060 on those of the preceding year. ENGLISH AND FOREIGN MARKETS. London, July 2. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 241,600 bales, of which 220,600 have been sold. Tallow shows a fall of 6d. The English wheat market is weak and declining, the Continental depressed, and the American declining. July 4. At the wool sales a poor selection was offered, but prices remained steady and competition was brisk. A cargo of Victorian wheat has ben sold at 32s 9d. The cargo of the barque Samoa, from New Zealand, realised 355. Madrid, July 3. The Madrid Bourse is closed, the brokers having struck as a protest against the taxation imposed on them.
