GERALDINE RACING CLUB.
A meeting of the Geraldine Racing Club was held on Monday evening in the Crown Hotel, when there was a fair attendance of members, and Mr R. H. Pearpoiut was voted to the chair. The chairman made a statement of the work of the year, which showed that the liabilities had been decreased by £240, and that the present total liabilities were over £4OO. During the three days racing of the year £636 10s had been paid out in stakes and the totalisator realised £449 12s 3d. The statements of receipts and expenditure of the year was then read and adopted. COMMITTEE. Messrs R. H. Pcarpoint, J. Muudell, R. Taylor, and B. R. Macdonald, the retiring committee, were re-elected, and Mr F. W. Worner was elected to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of one of the committee. THE STARTER. A letter was received from Mr T. Teschemaker resigning his position as starter, and expressing his regret at having to do so. In accepting the resignation members of the club regretted the loss of Mr Teschemaker as starter, and elected Mr M. C. Studholme to fill the vacancy. COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting was held after the annual meeting, when Mr R. H. Pearpoiut was elected chairman ; Mr F. Wilson Smith, secretary ; and Mr J. Mundell, treasurer. A sub-committee was appointed to prepare a programme for the next Spring Meeting, and the meeting terminated.
