The woman who “ broke into song ” now lias a cracked voice. Some mouths ago it seems a temperance revivalist, who is suggestively called “ Sledgehammer ” King, held a series of meetings in the county of Peru, Indiana. So effective was the movement that the town of North Grove abolished its two liquor saloons. A week or two since a new saloon was opened; but the people, finding protests of no avail, destroyed the building by a dynamite explosion.
