ISLAND LABOR QUESTION.
London, May 18. Baron do Worms said it would bo sufficient if the regulations intended to be enforced by Queensland were forwarded by post to the Imperial Government. Ho intended to call Sir H. Norman’s attention to the alleged outrages on imported women. During the course of his re; marks Baron de Worms quoted from Bishop Selwyn’s letter. Professor Henry Drummond in an interview with the Pall Mall Gazette declared that the Queensland natives were treated as veritable outcasts. Their lives were freely taken in certain district on small provocation, and no questionss asked. Their grievances were far worse than those of the imported Kanakas.
