PLEASANT VALLEY SCHOOL.
The prizes at Pleasant Valley School were distributed on Tuesday by Mr K. Brophy, chairman of the committee. The basis of distribution was the inspector’s report. The following are the names of those who were successful:— Standard VII.—K. Lysaght 1. Standard IV.—E. Tatam 1, G. Gale and T. Gregan (equal) 2. Standard HI. —A. Macpherson 1, J. Gregan 2. Standard ll S. Gale and A. Howden (equal) 1, H. Bennett 2. Standard I—S. Gregan I,M. Brophy2. Preparatory N. Macpherson 1, M. Connor 2. Preparatory I.—A. Carrig 1, A. Guilford 2. The sewing was examined by Mesdames Allan and Earle, who awarded prizes in the following order : Standard VII.—K. Lysaght. Standard VI.—A. Gregan I,L. Gregan 2. Standard V.—E. Best 1, M. Bennett 2. Standard IV—S. Carrig 1, K. Quaid 2, Standard HI.—K. Finn 1. Standard lI.—M. Kelliher 1. Standard I.—S. Gregan 1. Most popular girl—K. Lysaght. Most popular boy—H. Bennett.
