THE ANARCHISTS.

London, April 21. The leading powers on the Continent have refused to allow street processions or demonstrations on May day. Nichol, tho editor, and Mowbray, the publisher,of the Anarchist paper Commonwealth, have been arrested on a charge of inciting the murder of Mr Matthews, Home Secretary, and Sir Henry Hawkins, Judge of the High Court of Justice. Both accused were remanded in custody. The Anarchists propose to hold a demonstration in Hyde Park on Monday, in sympathy with the Wallsall anarchists. Mowbray, the publisher of Commonwealth, was arrested four hours after the death of his wife. He has a young family, and bail was refused, though he was allowed to attend his wife's funeral in custody. Nichol, the editor, when arrested declared that he was responsible for the article, and that the publisher was unaware of its contents. Paris, April 21. The anarchists in Lyons have issued a manifesto threatening to kill the bourgeois. The authorities are experiencing difficulty in finding Judges to take the trial of Ravachal, the leader of the Anarchists. Madrid, April 20. A great sensation has been caused all over Spain by the statement of Munoz that the Anarchists recently drew lots as to who should kill the little King of Spain. Vienna, April 20. A number of dynamite cartridges have been discovered in the tramways running to some of the suburbs. Washington, April 20. A dynamite bomb exploded in Baltimore, but no one was injured.
