A singular fatal accident happened a Stawell, Victoria. A little girl named"'VLily O'Dea, while driving a pet calf to ■* water, fastened the rope round her own neck, and it is supposed she fell and the calf ran away, dragging the ehild a considerable distance. She was found lying dead with the rope drawn tightly round her neck, and the calf attached at the other end grazing near the body.
