London, March 18. Mr Stanhope, Minister of War, expressed regret in the House of Commons for the injustice he had done the colonies regarding the fortifications of King George’s Sound and Torres’ Strait. He had since learned that the forts were rapidly approaching completion, which was greatly to the credit of the colonies. Mr Balfour, in reply to Mr Labouchere, stated that he could not say when Parliament would bo dissolved.
