"We may say that the crop, which was heavy, was well cut, the sheaves were nicely bound, and a clean stubble was left. If we are asked what we think of the mechanism whereby the canvass is dispensed with, we reply that we think a great deal of it. It has sounded the death knell of canvass. The operation is extremely simple and easy to understand when seen.
