Bai’on Alcester is suffering from influenza and is in a critical condition. Jan. 20. Last week 271 deaths tVbm influenza were recqrfiecl in London, besides 63 qf which it was a secondary cause. The death rate has risen in London to 40 per 1000, in Portsmouth to 58, and at Brighton, to 52, It is also very high in Liverpool and Wolverhampton, There are signs that the influenza on the Continent is abating. The English press is alarmed at the increasing mortality from influenza. Rome, Jan, 20. It is reported that the Pope is Suffering from influenza. The death is announced of Father Anderledye, Vicar-General of the JeSlUlsy-xxoxn -rrrn
