IRISH AFFAIRS.
London, Dec. 15. Fierce rioting has taken place in Ennis, County Clare, which was provoked by the followers of the late Mr C. S. Parnell. Many persons were injured by stricks and stones, and Mr J. Dillon was struck across the face. The priests were openly defied and hooted, but eventually the police were successful in dispersing the mob. Mr Chamberlain, in a political address to-day declared that the Liberal Unionists had been a third party for many years, and that their union with the Liberals was impossible, and with the Tories impolitic. He considered that the Ulster Loyalists were justified \v, resisting the domination of Catholic priests and the establishment of a Parliament in Dublin.
Tip World states that the Clan-na-Gael of Philadelphia has issued a secret circular inviting a return to physical force in Ireland. The American leagues which have discussed the matter consider that the authors of the circular are the greatest enemies of Ireland,
