Sydney, Dec. 15. The Engineers' Association are taking a ballot on the question of granting a donation of £ISOO towards the assistance V of the printers on strike in Germany. Dec. 16. ■ At a meeting of the labour party to-day seventeen members were present. Mr ■executive of' the original party present. The meeting appointed a new secretary and requested Mr Haughton, late secretary, to hand over all the papers. New Yobk, Dec. 16. ■ '• The South Pacific Eailway Company have recused to employ any man unless, he agress- not to join .the Telegraph {Society. In consequence of this action '- the "telegraphists in the employ of the company and others have gone out on gtrike, resulting in the cessation of trallic.
