ASHBURTON WOOL SALES.

At the Ashburton wool sales on Tuesday two thousand bales were offered. The growth and colour were better, but waste was as heavy as last year’s clip. There was a good attendance and coih-r petition. Half breds, 6Jd to 9Jd ; crossbreds, s|d to B£d; long wool, 5d to 7d; merino, 5d to 7d. These prices are on the average equal to last season’s for crossbreds, but a £d to Id lower for merino. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dec. 6.Up to date 109,200 bales of wool have been catalogued, of which 103,000 have been sold- Foreign buyers have taken a large quantity.
