Trap Accident. A trap accident happened last Sunday, which fortunately resulted in no very serious consequences. Messrs Mabin, McLeod, and 0. P. McCallum were driving along the road near Arowhenua when in some unaccountable way the horse kicked and got its leg over the shaft. This did not improve the animal’s temper, and he became very violent, but fortunately the occupants got out of the trap unhurt. The horse’s leg was badly cut, and the shaft of the trap was broken, but further than that no damage was done. Aebest Fob Debt. —Considerable sensation has been caused in Dunedin by the arrest of Mr J. R. Scott, a well-known citizen. This Was charged to Mr Scott, and not being paid, he appears to have been arrested for not doing so. He has been bailed out. The Liquor Traffic. —Mr C. M.
