Charitable Aid. —At a meeting of the united districts charitable aid and hospital boards, Dunedin. Mr J. Robin was reelected chairman. The question of outdoor relief was discussed and generally condemned as rising a race of paupers. The chairman suggested that it might be possible to subsidise the reserves Conservation Society to go on with the work at Sandhills by those receiving relief and start a laundry for women.
