Supreme Court. —ln Christchurch, Matthew. .Kane, charged with having pouunitted an assault with intent at Leeston, was found guilty, and sentenced to two years. The Supreme Court criminal session closed on Thursday afternoon. The last case was that of a .Chinaman named Jamie Joe for obtaining 37 pairs *}£. boots from William Horsley, of Papanui, /by a fafsp iepr vr sentatiom Prisoner, was convicted and sentenced to'l2 mouths’ imprisonment.
