TO THE EDITOK. Sir, —It is a pity Guardian did not hold the honorable position of chairman of the Winchester School Committee, or at the very least that of one of my six colleagues. There is no doubt that ho has more time on his -Jwtnds than any of the Committe, although admitting it was close on eleven o'clock before we got through with our business last meeting. However, from what papers I hold I will do my best to soothe the British public, and may "Simon Pure" be what he professes.
