Sydney, Oct. 8. Sailed—Manaponri, for Auckland. The George Manson, from Newcastle to San Francisco, which was spoken by the Jubilee on Saturday dismasted, has returned safely. Albany, Oct. 8. The steamer Summerfield has arrived hare from Hamburg. Three of the crew died in the Red Sea, and two committed suicide by jumping overboard. Two more attempted suicide on arrival hero, and were only rescued with difficulty. The passengers, who are mostly English, give an extraordinary account of the treatment suffered on the voyage and the hardships undergone. The diet was insufficient, and nearly all on board required medical treatment. They allege that the c.’ew were badly treated, and the men committed suicide to put an end to their sufferings. London, Oct. 6, The ship Wolviston, from Bristol to New York, was sunk by an iceberg, and twelve of those on board drowned.

The barque Minnelkin was wrecked off the coast of Newfoundland, and twentythree drowned.^
