AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, Sept. 11. Butter—Dairy, Is Id; factory, Is 3d. ENGLISH AND FOREIGN MARKETS London, Sept. 10. The dry hot weather is greatly improving the hop and wheat crops. Sept. 11. New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 105 ; 3§ per cent, ditto, 94. New Zealand long-berried wheat is weaker at 44s 6d. For cargoes on passage sellers. ask 42s 6d; buyers offer 425. Off-coast cargoes are quoted at 42s 6d, but buyers will not give more than 425. Canterbury mutton, 4d per lb ; lamb, s§d; Wellington mutton, 3£d; beef, hindquarters, 4jd. New Zealand hemp is firm at a slight advance. Good quality is firm at £23 per ton. Fair to medium, £2l ss. Wool—Quotations are unchanged. South Australian wheat, 455; Victorian weaker at 445. The Times states that the wheat, barley, and oat crops are from 6 to 7 per cent, worse than a month ago, and that the wheat is a bad colour. New York, Sept. 13. The official estimate of the American, wheat yield is 550,000,000 bushels.
