FOOT ROT.
In the early stage (says the Australian), foot-rot may be cured by running the sheep through a trough of strong limewater or a weak solution of arsenic, but when the disease is in an advanced stage a stronger solution of arsenic must be employed. Dissolve by boiling together life of arsenic and 51b of soda. For use dilute it to the strength of loz per gallon. In very bad cases paring with a proper jihsep-foot knife is resorted to; this is followed by dressing the sores with butyr of antimony ; some managers use blue vitriol powdered. Removal to dry ground and exercise on a gravelly road are both useful aids to the foregoing remedies. f jvthe sheep are returned to the same wet pqjftrage their feet will soon be as bad lis before.
