.RUMOURED SECRET LOAN. London, August 12. There is angry and excited feeling on Change about the alleged loan, two-and-a-half millions, secretly offered by New South Wales. The market is intensely hostile to the whole proceedings, and New South Wales stock has dropped to 97. Sydney, August 13. Sir Henry Parkes denies that there is any truth in the statement that New South Wales will offer a loan privately. He states that the only foundation for the cables from London lies in the fact that a considerable time since the Government lodged securities with the Bank of England for sale to anyone who wished to invest money.
