The Coal Pit is about 8 J miles from the Mount Somers Railway Station. There is a Tramway from the Pit to the Railway Station, which is now leased by Mr E. F. Wright from the Ashburton County Council. There are two Houses on the Land. If the tenant prefers working with a Traction Engine and Trucks, prices of the same can be had on application to me.
