There is a Tramway from the Pit to the Railway Station, which is now leased by Mr E. F. Wright from the Ashburton County Council. • There are two Houses on the Land. If the tenant prefers working with a Traction Engine and Trucks, prices of the same can be had on application to me. Also — LIME STONE. U.S. 4275, 25 ACRES, being part of the MOUNT SOMERS CAVES, to be LET BY TENDER, at a Fixed Rental, from the sth October next. This Section is supposed to contain a magnificent sample of the best and purest Agricultural and Building Lime. It was purchased in 1862. It is between 3 and 4 miles from the Mount Somers Railway Station. A Traction Engine could take the Lime and Coal along the Roads to' the Station.
