A cablegram has been received here, trom San Franoispo, offering to land,: one million bushels of wheat on Sydney wharf c.i.f., at 4s lid, No. 1 shipping 4s lOd.
ENGLISH MARKETS.
London, July 23.
New Zealandr long-berried wheat is quiet at 41s. For cargoes on passage sellers are asking 40s 6d, but buyers offer 40s.
New Zealand hemp is in poor demand, and shows a decline of 10s per ton. Frozen mutton, Canterbury, 4§d per lb ; lamb 4f d. Beef, forequarters, 3^d. South Australian wheat is flat at 42s 6d. -Victorian is alsp flat at 41s 6d.
