SOCIAL AND DANCE.
A* social and dance in aid of the Arundel School prize fund was held in the schoolroom on Friday night last, when, although the weather was very unfavorable, there was a large number present. Mr Hawkes sang “ Afidshipman Easy” and “ Sailing,” for which he was encored, and sang in return u The Frenchman.” Airs Woodley sang “Juanita,” and Aliss Meredith “ The dear little Shamrock ” and “ The Miller and the Maid.” Mr Amble sang “Do unto others as you would be done unto ” and “ I’m off' to Tipperary,” Air Campbell sang Scotland for ever.” The music was supplied by Mr Paton, with violin and accordian, and Mr Hawkes and Miss Meredith the piano. Ale Lodger acted as M.C.j and dancing was kept i(P till an early hour on Saturday jporning,
