Sydney, July 15

The Governor in his speech at the formal opening of Parliament to-day said that in response to opinion largely expressed during the recent general election, the first business of the sesssion would be to remodel the electoral law and give equal voting to every man and self-registration.

As soon as the House met this afternoon Mr Dibbs moved a vote of want of confidence in the Government; and the debate is proceeding.
