I.O.G.T.—The usual weekly meeting of thb Welcome Retreat Lodge, No. 44, Geraldine, was held on Monday evening last, when there was a good attendance, and Bro. C. E. Sherratt,W.C.T., officiated. One new .member was proposed during the evening;' A petition dealing with the liquor I 'question, to be forwarded to Mr Joyce M.H. R., for presentation to the House before July 22nd, was laid on the table and signed by. all members present who were eligible. After the lodge meeting a committee meeting was held re the forthcoming Temperance Social, and reports . from the ■ various committees appointed showed that they were meeting with success in their efforts. From all accounts, the presence of the Rev. L. M.
