The following is the Corn Exchange report (perN. P. Meyers, Secretary), for the week ending July 10 : The wheat market during the past week continues firm,, although European advices are not encouraging. Any good-sized parcels offering command attention, moro especially for local consumption. Prime,-.milling oats are also in request, whilst long and feed are firm'at quotations. In barley few'""transactions have transpired, except for prime malting, which finds a ready market. Beans and Peas—For the former there are several enquiries when not broken, while the latter have been placed at figure. 1 : below for hand-threshed prussian blue,; there is a fair demand. Grass seed is enquired for; rye. and cocksfoot may be noted .at quotations. Potatoes— Derwents have seen fair sales, but tin seller must guarantee them marketable and no seVbnd growth, otherwise'then is the possibility of them being rejected at the ship's side. No alteration can be noted in dairy produce. Quotations are as follow : Wheat—Tuscan, 4s 8d to 4s 4d ; 4s 2d to 4s 3d; hunters, 4s to 4s 2d.

Grass Seeds—Rye, town machine- 1 dressed, 5s 3d to 5s Gd; farmers' parcels 3s 6d to 4s 6d; .epbksfoot. rough samples, 3|d to 4d; clean seed, 5d tosid. Potatoes —20s at country stations within a twelve-mile radius. The above quotations are those paid to farmers, f.o.b. Lyttelton, sacks 6s 6dper dozen. Potatoes excepted.

Store Sheep—Only a limited entry to hand. Competition was good. Breeding ewes were most in demand, and sold at from 9s lid to 15s ; hoggets realised from 5s 3d to lis ; crossbred wethers and maiden ewes sold at from lis to 13 6d as per quality. Fat Cattle Small enti-y, Competition keen for all prime lines, and some pens, nice quality, sold at prices equal to 21s per 1001 b, other lots, 18s to 20s per 1001 b: bullocks sold up to £9, cows to £7, heifers to £7., Store Cattle—Small entry, which met with a very dull sale; in fact there was hardly any business done at all. Dairy Cattle Small entry, dull sale. Best cows to £7, other sorts at 20s to 80s each.
Pigs—Smaller entry than of late, with good competition for anything of good quality. .Baconers sold up to 465. Wool, Sheepskins, Hides, Fat, and Tallow—Bidnings were brisk for all lines, and good prices were obtained, Butchers', merinos. 4s 6d to 5s 8d; crossbreds, 5s 6d to 6s 6d; country skins to s|d per lb. Rough fat vt l|d- to l|d per lb. Hides at late rates; factory skins—several large lots at full market rates.
DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday : Wheat—Market firm, buu not over active. Prime tuseans and velvets, 4s 7d to 4s 8d; other good milling sorts, 4s 4d to 4s 6d. Fowls' wheat: Good whole, 8s 8d to 4s. Prime Nelson hops, Is Id. Onions—£7 to £B. Barley Malting, 3s to 3s 3d; milling, 2s 4d to 2s 6d; feed, 2s to 2s 3d, Pearl barley—£l3. Oats—We quote, nominally, best milling and seed, Is 6d to Is 7d; bright plump feed range from Is other sorts, Is 3d to Is 4d—all sacks extra, ofF.trucks. and ex store. Flour—Eoller, £l2 ; stone, £ll ss. Oatmeal, £8 10s to £lO 10s. Bran, £3 10s. Sharps, £4 10s. Potatoes—£2 to £2 ss; kidneys for seed, £2 5s to £2 10s. Pigs—l4olb to J6oib, well fed and well cured, 3|d; large sizes' not saleable ; hams, 7d to 8d; bacon,. 5d to 6d. Chaff, good heavy clean sorts, £2 ss. Turnips—lss to 18s. Carrots—3os to 355.
Straw—Qaten and wheatenj) 30s to 355. Hay— Oaten, £3 ; clover and ryegrass, £3 5s to £3 10s.
Butter—Prime salt, 7|d —kegs returnable ; Taranaki factory, Is 2d; Taranaki dairy- 9d to lid. Eggs— Fairly supplied. Honey—sd per It). Cheese—Factory, 5d to 4d to 4^d. Grass Seds Ryegrass, 3s 6d to 5s 9d ; cocksfoot, 4|d to Gd per fl). ;
Wool—ln the local market there is nothing "special-■'."s report. The small lots offering are readily placed at prices equivalent to London values. Sheepskins—On Tuesday country dry crossbreds, inferior to medium, brought 2s 2d to 4s; do do merino, 2s to 8s lid; full woolled crossbreds, is 9d to Gs 9d; do do merino, 4s 6d to Gs 6d; dry pelts, 4d to 2s; butchers' green crossbreds, best, 5s 7(1 to4s6d; toSsGd. Hides—No alteration to make in last week's prices, which we repeat—viz., for 601 b hides, 2£d to 3d; 6511) and upwards, |d to Id more ; medium weights, 2d to 2\d ; light do, l|d to lfd ; inferior, Id to per lb. DtnSiEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transacted : Fat Cattle—lß9 head were yai'ded. Sales opened with a very "slack demand, owing no doubt to most of the butchers being well-stocked from last week's excessive suppty. Values all round showed;a decline, of 10s to' 15s per head. Best bullocks sold at £7 to £9 12s 6d; medium £6 10s to £6 15s; light, £3 2s 6d to £4 15s; cows and heifers, £2 15s to £6 ss. Fat Sheep—This week's entry consisted of 2902, and prices showed an advance of Is 6d to 2s a head on last week's quotations. Best crossbred i wethers sold at 18s to 23s ; medium, ]ss Od to 17s Gd; light, 13s to 14sGd •'

"Wheat, 4s 9d to 3s lOd. Flour, stone made, £9 5s to £lO ; roller made, £10,5s to £lO 15s. Oats, New Zealand, in bond, 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Barley—Cape, 2s 4d to 2s 9d; English, 2s 9d to,4s. Bran and pollard, Is 2d. A moderate trade is doing.
ENGLISH MARKETS. London, July 8. The wool sales closed to-day, the spirited bidding being maintained to the end. Merinos have firmly maintained priqes; scoured ,sprts have realised more and crossbreds less than at previous sales. 160,000 bales were taken for the Continent; 14,000 for America; 16,200 for England, and 18,000 were held over. ,' The American visible supply of wheat is 19,544 ?
