BAD HARVEST IN RUSSIA. London, June 27. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 245,000 bales of which 229,290 bales have been sold. Prices bre unchanged. Colonial barley, 31s 6d. Oats, 2Gs, Beans, 375. Tallow is dull of sale. Best mutton and good beef is worth 27s 3d and 25s 6d per cwt respectively. Frozen Meat Market weaker. Price of mutton has declined per lb since last report. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase 4|d per lb. New Zealand beef, fore and hindquarters, are worth respectively 3|d and 4|d per lb. Leather best sides 8d to ox hides, 34d to 3Sd. June 30. Wheat has declined Is per quarter. At the wool sales prices were firmly maintained, and there is no change to report. St. Petersburg, June 29, The prospects of the Russian harvest are worse and a famine is feared in certain provinces. The Government are considering the advisability of prohibiting the further export of grain. June 30. The crops in Central, Western, and most of Southern Russia, have failed, and grave fears are entertained of a severe famine. The price of flour is advancing consequently on the bad harvest. The semi-official Journal Novoe Vremya declares that special measures will be needed to prevent the peasants starving during the winter. Anti-Semitic riots attended by bloodshed have taken place at Kherson, on the Black Sea.

Cheese Gd to 7d., Bacon, machine cured, 5d to Gd : hand cured Gd to 7d ; New Zealand cured, B|d to 9d. Ham, New Zealand, lOd to lid, Melbourne, June 30.
