TEMPERANCE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —Ib a letter appearing iu your issue of the 25th inst. Mr Dann asserts that a publican subscribed towards the Wesleyan Parsonage fund. As one of the collectors for this fund 1 wish to point out to Mr Dann that be is in error with regard to his ” facts,” as no publican contributed to the fund in question, which is now being expended on the object for which it was raised. A publican’s wife promised the large sum of 2s 6d towards it, but the collectors refrained trom calling for this subscription, - which, therefore, never went to the* fund Further, I would like to ask Mr Dann what is the connection between members of a lodge who are acting in a private capacity and Mr Hamilton’s position on the prohibition question, and I should also like to know what necessity there was for mentioning the Good Hope Lodge in connection with the matter F—l am, etc, Agnes M cOalsum, One of the Members of the 1,0.G.T.
