AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. GIRALDINK. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the weekended June 19th, 1891, as follows: — During the week large of sheep, bothfat and store, have changed owners,; at, auction and privately, at prices in favor of sellers. Temnka Live Stack Market. —At this market, on Tuesday, the yarding iier the day consisted of 6500 sheep, cattle, 85 pigs. Prices realised tiuring the sale were: —Sheep : Three-quarter-bred wethers and maiden ewes, 2 and 4 tooth, fat, 15s ; i-bred y lambs, 11s; crossbred ewes, 11s 7d to 12s; f-bred ewes, in lamb, 8s ; merino wethers, fat, 9a lOd to 9a lid, Cattle : Fat steers, £5 10s to £6; steers aud heifers, fat, £4 12a 6d to £5; cows, springing and in profit, £3 10a to £4; dry cows, £1 to £1 10s; 3-year-old steers and heifers, in forward condition, £3 ss; yearlings, £1; calves, 10s to 15a. Pigs: Baconers, £1 to £1 ss; strong stores, 11s 6d to 12s; small stores, 5s 6d to 6a ; weaners, 3s 6d to 4s. bheepskins, —On Wednesday we held our usual fortnightly sale at the stores of the National Mortgage and Agency Co., of N.Z., .Limited, at Ti* maru, We had a large catalogue to offer, which met with keen comY petition, every lot realising full values. Butchers’ crossbreds sold at ss, 5s Id, 5s 2d, to 5s 4d; merinos, 2a lOd to 3s; dry skins, 5d to per lb. DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday:— Wheat —Firm, but not very active. Prime tuacan and velvet, 4s 7d to 4s 8d j other good milling sorts, 4s 4d to 4s 6d; second-class milling sorts, 4s Id to 4s 3d; fowls’ wheat, good whole, 3s 8d to 4s; second inferior,, 8s 2d to Bs 4d. Barley—Malting, 3s to 3s 3d; milling, 2s 4s to 2s 6d; feed, 2s to 2s 3d ; pearl barley, £l3. Onions —£8. Oats—lf anything easier, owing to the absence of shipping, speculators having stopped buying. Prime milling, Is 6d to Is 6£d ; bright plump feed, Is 6d ; other feed sorts, Is 4d to IB s£d. Flour —Roller, £l2; stone-made, £ll ss. Oatmeal, £8 to £lO. Bran, £8 15s. Sharps, £4 10s. Potatoes—£2 to £2 6s. Pigs—lsolb to 1601 b, firm good ourers, 3*d to 3£d; large sizes not saleable; bams and bacon, 7d to 8d ; flitches and rolls, to 6d. . Chaff— £2 te £2 7s 6d. Turnips— lss to 18s. Carrots, 355. Straw— (Oaten and wheaten), 30s te 355. Hay, (oaten), £3 ; clover and ryegrass hay, £3 10a. Butter Prime salt, — kegs extra; prime fresh Taranaki dairy (in bulk), 9d per lb; preservative, Taranaki factory, fresh in 11b pats, Is per lb. Eggs—Fairly supplied. Honey, scarce, 5d pec lb.

Cheese—Factory, 4|-d to s£d; dairy made, 4d to 4£d for prime only. Grass Seeds—Ryegrass, 3s 6d to 6* ; cocksfoot, 4|-d to sfd.

Bheepskins—Dry skins, crossbreds, low to medium, Is lOdto 8a 9d; do do, full-woolled, 5a to 7s Id; do do, pelts, 7d to Is 8d; do do, lambs, la to 2s lOd ; do, merinos, low to medium, Is 6d to 3a 6d ; do do, full-woolled, 5s to 6a 4d ; do do, pelts, 8d to is 2d ; green skins, crossbreds, 8s 2d to 5s 6d; do, merinos, 2s 8d to 4s 6d ; do, lambs, 2s 3d to 4s 3d.

Wool—Since last week’s report prices here for certain qualities have ceme down in sympathy with the Loudon market, though not to such a great extent. Buyers seera to be of opinion that the London market will recover towards the end of the current series. Compared with last week, values show a decline of f J to £d per lb for Leicesters, strong crossbreds, and merinos ; while halfbreds and the finer graces of crossbreds show no change. Tallow—All country lots arriving meet with a ready sale at quotations, which are for best rendered mutton, 18* 6d to 20s ; medium to good, 15s 6d to 17s 6d ; inferior to mixed, 12s to 15s; and for rough fat, best clean caul, 13s to 13s 6d; inferior to medium and good, 9s to 12s 6d per cwt. DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday the following business was transacted :

Fat Cattle—The supply this week consisted of 231 head, at prices quite on a level with those ruling a week ago. Prime bullocks (heavy weights), sold at £8 to £9 10a; do (ordinary and light weights), £6 to £7 15s ; half and three parts fat bullocks, £4 to £5 10s ; ordinary, £3 10s to £5 ; best cows from £6 to £7 10s; ordinary, £4 to £6 10s ; inferior, £1 10a to £3. Fat Sheep—The market was well supplied with 3416 sheep, including 400 merinos. Values all through the sals were quite as high as last week, and in the case of prime freezing wethers a shade higher. Prime crossbred wethers (heavy) sold at 17s 6d to 18« 9d ; do do, ordinary weights, 16a to 17s; do do, medium quality, 14s to 15s 6d; do do, small, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; prime crossbred ewes, heavy, 16s to 17s; do do, ordinary weights, 14s 6d to 15s 6d ; do do, light, 12a 6d to 14s ; merino wethers, 10s to 13a.

Pigs—The market was glutted, no less than 400 being penned. The greater portion of the pigs were stores, and those that were fat were mostly of indifferent quality, The stores were almost unsaleable, whilst to effect sales of fat pigs (guaranteed grain-fed ones excepted), a reduction in values had to be submitted to. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, June 17. Wheat, none offering. Chick is quoted at 3s 6d to 3s lOd ; milling 4s lOd to ss. Flour, stone-makes, £lO 5s to £lO 15s ; roller brands, £ll 10s to £l2. Oats, feeding, Is 8d to Is lid; seed, Is lid to 2s. Maize, 2s 3d to 2s sd. Bran, 9fd. Pollard, 9|d. Peas, 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Potatoes, New Zealand, £2 to £2 ss; Circular Heads, £2 15s, to £3. Onions, £4 to £4 10s. Butter, dairy-made, up to Is ; factory-made, from Is Id to Is 3d; imported, lOd to Is. Cheese, 5d to 7d, Bacon, local cured, 5d to 7d ; imported 6£d to Hams, N.Z, cured, lOd te lid. Melbourne, June 17.

Wheat, firm but not brisk, average milling, 4s lOd to 4s lid ; prime, ss. The flour market is steady; stonemakes, £9 5s to £9 15s ; roller makes, £lO Is to £lO 10s. Oats, N.Z, prime feeding, 2s 2d to 2s 4d, Barley, Cape, 25,4 d to 2s 9dl; English malting, 2s 9d to 4s. Pollard and bran, Is 2|d.

ENGLISH MARKETS. London, June 17. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,076,000 quarters, and for the Continent 2,384,000 quarters. Money is declining continuously. Three months’ bills are discounted at 2? per cent. Debentures of the New Zealand Trust and Loan Co. are £27 10s • New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, £96 10«. June 21, American buyers have purchased throe thousand bales of wool at the auctions.
