" The following is the report for the week ending Wednesday:— Barley There is nothing doing, except for really prime first-class samples. Prime malting may be quoted 8s to 3s 3d; medium, 2s 6d to 2s 9d; inferior to medium, la 30d to 3b 3d (ex store, sacks extra, terms). Grass Seed Ryograssi : Best machine dressed, 6s 6d to 6s 6d ; medium, 5» to 5s 3d; farmers’ best dressed, 3s 9d io 4s 6d; medium, 2s 6d to 3s 6d (ex store). Potatoes Arrivals heavy, considerably more than can be absorbed by local consumption. Best derwents, 37s 6d to 4Os'; inferior, 27s 6d to 82s 6d per top (sacks weighed in). Chaff—Supplies are heavy. Best, 455; medium to good, 80s to 85s.
Sheepskins—Butchers’ green crossbreds, 5s Id to 4s; good to medium, 3a lOd to 8s 4d ; ceurtry dry skins, crossbreds, 2s 2d to 4a 3d; merino, la 8d to Is 9d; fnll-woolled skins, 4s 6d to 7s.
Hides—lnfarior and slippy, Id to lid; light, Ijfd to lid; medium, 2d to 3id; tip to 601 b, 2fd to 3d. A large majority of hides offering are 1 of the. inferior and light order; Tallow Prime rendered mutton, 19s to 20a; medium to good, 15s to 17s 8d ; mixed, 13s 6d to 15s ; clean caul, 18s to 13s 6d ; rough fat, 10s to 12s.
